All Federal Universities in Nigeria To Pay the Same Tuition Fees

All Federal Universities in Nigeria To Pay the Same Tuition Fees

Prof. Adamu Adamu, the current Minister of Education has said the Federal Government of Nigeria will coordinate tuition in all Federal Universities to stop arbitrary charge of fees by some university authorities.

The Minister of Education made this information known while fielding questions on the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Forum in Abuja on Tuesday, 10th May 2016.

Adamu said, “Since the protests started, we have summoned the authorities of the federal universities and sat down with them and we are going to match up everything.

“Because, I think it is Forty-five thousand, (N45,000.00) that is the maximum that should be charged. I know in some places, there has been other arrangement.

“But the ministry would harmonise everything and I believe there will be no more protests over fees.”

The Universities of Lagos, University of Ibadan and University of Port Harcourt were recently shut down following students’ protests over increase in fees, lack of water and power supply on the campuses.

Adamu said that the Federal Government was discussing with management of the affected universities, adding that efforts were also ongoing to introduce harmonised fees for all federal universities in Nigeria.

JAMB Set To Fix UTME Date As Board Meets WAEC, NECO and NABTEB

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has now concluded plans to fix the dates for the 2017 UTME. This was made known today by The Head, Media and Information of the board, Dr Fabian Benjamin.

Members of the JAMB board have been scheduled to meet with board members of WAEC, NECO and NABTEB on Tuesday, 17th January, to find suitable dates for the 2017 UTME.

Remember that the new JAMB CBT no longer holds in one day, and may require up to 2 weeks to fully test all candidates, who apply for the exam. This meeting will therefore help avoid clashes in exam dates for other exam bodies, a problem experienced in previous exams.

According to Mr. Fabian, this is the final preparation required before the Sale of 2017 UTME Registration Forms can commence.

We therefore hope that another press briefing will be conducted just after the meeting on 17th January, to reveal the possible 2017 UTME Exam Dates, and when sale of registration forms will commence.

Prophesies made by Pastor E A Adeboye at his visit to UNN. [VIDEO]

The visit of the man of God today was a great one. I do not think any student would miss the programme, an event that really changed lives. One of the things he said was that he does not know will be coming back to Nsukka  for such a programme. This is the first of its kind.

In an event that claimed many lives to Jesus.

He said " One of those dreams we call dream like miracles. There are miracles that when you get them, it looks as if you are still dreaming."

"I have gotten such before that I had to say to God 'God if this is a dream, please do not let me wake up'" He added.

The prophesy came after the statement above, He said
"The Almighty is going to give you the similar dream today" He added "The lord say I should tell someone today that very soon he will know that he came to Nsukka because of you" The people echoed a thunderous Amen.
Thank you father!

He read also about the story of a man in the bible who was paralyzed, when he heard about Jesus, wanted to meet him but the people were much, they had to climb the roof oif the building to drop the man down. When Jesus saw the problem and the faith they had, he told him, Man take up your bed and go and every one was amazed. The man carried up the bed that carried him.

He said, "Your miracle you are getting from here will amaze people"
