Baby born with an incurable disease that causes his skin to fall off if touched (photos)

One of the joys of every parent is in being able to hold their new baby close. Sadly this cannot be the case for Kadyem, 22, and Kyera, 20, the first time parents of a baby born on December 28 with a rare incurable disease which makes his skin peel off when touched.

Baby Kaheel Clark-Smith was diagnosed at birth with Epidermolyosis Bullosa (EB) after he was born with small blisters on his arm, but the doctors dismissed it as a mild case and sent him home, however, he had extreme breakout days later that resulted in blisters and the loss of 60% of his skin and that was when it was discovered that he has the worst case of the disease.

Kaheel's parents, who are unable to cuddle or kiss their baby, are raising funds to fly their son to a specialist EB centre in Ohio since the hospital where their son was born in Seattle, Washington has very little experience in handling such case.

"We found out this was the 'worst disease you've never heard of' and we were so heartbroken. Even a cuddle or a kiss can cause his skin to blister. The doctors gave us false hope because he was eating and all his vital signs were fine. Then he had a bad breakout and he was admitted to NICU on Jan 4th.

"We just got back the results from the biopsies and have been told it's the worst type of EB."

Brandi started a GoFundMe page to help raise $30,000 for the medical flight to get the baby to the care of experts in Ohio and also for the expensive special clothing and bandage needed to wrap Khaleel.

Photos: Young man masturbates and ejaculates on female bank customer in Nnewi

A young man received hot slaps today after he masturbated and then ejaculated on a female customer at Diamond Bank, Nnewi branch, Anambra State. Below is the shocking and frightening account of the incident by victim, Anaeto Amaka Vivi, on Instagram:

"I went to Diamond bank (Nnewi) today and went to their customer service to lay a complaint but the crowd at the spot was much so I stood in one of the queues there, there was this guy (via pix) behind me I noticed he was somehow resting on me so I moved a little and he moved with me,
I noticed something suspicious so I looked back I saw him crossed both of his hands covered with a paper down his waist.... I kept mute and was busy with my phone I noticed something behind me again I turned and saw him with his hands at the same position so all of a sudden I felt something hot dripped on my leg to my outmost surprise it was a sperm I turned gat hold of him and gave him some hot slaps I know he has never received in his life before.... if not for the securities that intervene like seriously he won't live to remember a day like this #what_an_assault.

See the reason why CCCTV cameras are needed in examination halls - by JAMB BOSS

The registrar of the board, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, made this known to the public.

According to him, this is a part of the measures aimed at preventing examination malpractice during the UTME.

CCTV camera

“We believe that certain things should be done.

For example, we are conducting the Computer-Based Test, I’m not aware of anywhere in the world where you do the CBT without CCTV. If you are not caught during the examination, you can be caught after the examination because the whole thing will be under coverage.

He further mentioned that operators of the CBT centres who fail to comply with the order to install CCTV cameras prior to the examination may not be accredited for the UTME.

He advised parents candidates against falling victims to fraudsters as the UTME forms are not yet on sale.

Concerning when the examination will commence, the JAMB boss stated that he cannot say categorically when it will commence but it will commence sooner than later.

In his words, “I can say clearly that I don’t know when we are going to start the sales of forms. All we want to do is to make sure that things that ought to be in place are in place. I cannot tell you exactly when it will be, but I know that sales will commence sooner than later. Why am I saying so? For instance, we are meeting with the heads of other examination bodies.

“We don’t want a situation where pupils will be put under pressure to give up either West African Senior School Certificate Examination or National Examination Council or any other examination whenever they are taking place simultaneously. That is one of the things we want to avoid.

“Secondly, if we hold our examination at a time when students are not ready, the result we get is a high rate of failure. Our examination is a ranking examination, not an achievement examination. This is why we are saying that it is not to extend the validity because the test is to be taken just once.”
